December Raku Firing Workshop

Service Description

Join our team for a Glaze Raku Firing and experience the alchemy of fire! Participants are asked to bring five small bisque-fired pieces (6 inch by 5 inch) to fire in our outdoor kiln. This hands-on firing will guide you through the unique raku process, where pieces are rapidly heated, removed from the kiln glowing hot, and then placed in materials to create stunning, unpredictable finishes. Please be prompt, we want to go over safety and directions prior to the firing! In order for your firing to be successful, you must use Raku clay for your pieces. For your safety, please wear cotton long pants, cotton long sleeves shirts and closed toe shoes. Please bring protective eye wear. $50 per person *No experience needed
